Barbatoze comics started in November 2011 by Sherif Adel as his personal venture iinto the world of comics. Beginning simply as a tumblr blog, Sherif drew his alter ego "Barbatoze"  as an icon for his work, and started publishing cartoons that parodies current events and uses his own brand of satire which he quickly became known for. Barbatoze comics was published in various newspapers like "Daily News Egypt", "Al Shorouk", and on digital news portals like "HunaSotak" and "Al Akhbar".
